Tanzanian musician blames sheng for poor Kenyan music

Tanzanian Taarab songbird Khadija Kopa has blamed Nairobi’s street language, commonly known as sheng, for the poor song writing of Kenyan music.

Speaking in London during her recently concluded tour to the UK , Kopa revealed that she would like to collaborate with a Kenyan artist in the near future.

She was speaking to our UK correspondent, Gabriel Otach, on various issues including her music, relationships and her love for the East Africa region.
